Wooden Chest
This wooden chest has many uses. The special hinges make it very safe if it is used as a toy chest. It is great to store almost anything and also makes a great coffee table.

This sturdy rocking cradle was made for Sidney's grandchildren. It was made of old mahogony wood given to Sidney by his father.

This group was made with pine but Sidney has also used cypress and other woods. It also looks nice with a stain or natural finish. It can be used inside or out.

Catherine can easily wash her hands standing on this wooden stepstool. The top step lifts to hold her bath toys.

Sidney shows off the new tack cabinet he just built and stained for his niece Kirsten, to store her horse-related equipment. The left side includes a number of shelves, while the right side has several deep drawers. The semi-triangular section on the right can hold a saddle.

You can see Sidney is hard at work in his workshop right now. He's been building something new for him -- a tack cabinet. Horse owners use these to store riding and horse care equipment, like saddles and brushes and blankets. Sidney's niece Kirsten asked him if he could make a tack cabinet for her, as a good one is difficult to find. We'll post more photos of the cabinet as Sidney progresses.

A closer look at this bench -- a great place to store items on the bottom and a place to sit on top.

Sidney originally made this bench for the children's playroom. They stored toys on the bottom shelf. Now it is near the back door and is used to store boots, backbacks, etc. It's a great place to sit to take off boots or shoes as you arrive or leave.

Here's a chair to match the bench and coffee table on the sun porch. Can't you imagine sitting here with your early morning cup of coffee, watching the birds in the backyard?

Sidney made this bench and small coffee table, then painted them white so they'd look good on the sun porch.

The kids always seem to be playing with this sandbox. The lid is great, because you can use the sandbox as a table (or even a seat if you're small), and it removes easily to display the sand. Theoretically, it should be difficult for the sand to escape, but that's only if you haven't met Brennan yet.
